Compare net profit after referral, creator cut, returns & unit fulfill cost.
FBT scenario
Net after FBT
What is FBT?
Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) is TikTok Shop’s logistics program: you send inventory to TikTok-partnered warehouses; they pick, pack and ship to customers. You pay per-unit fulfillment fees that depend on size/weight bands and sometimes multi-unit discounts.
US FBT simplified weight tiers (planning only)
These bands mirror the calculator’s FBT tier dropdown. They are approximate planning placeholders, not a copy of the official weight/size rate card. Always paste your live unit fee from Seller Center when you have it. Full caveats: FBT tiers in this tool.
| Planning band | Approx. single / unit | Approx. multi / unit |
|---|---|---|
| Light (under ~1 lb / 0.5 kg) — default | ~$3.58 | ~$2.86 |
| Standard (~1–2 lb) | ~$4.50 | ~$3.60 |
| Heavy / bulky (~3–5 lb) | ~$6.50 | ~$5.20 |
| Oversize / 5 lb+ | ~$9.00 | ~$7.50 |
UK/EU calculators use the same band structure with region-scaled placeholders. None of these figures are guarantees.
When FBT wins vs self-ship
- FBT often wins when your outbound shipping + packaging + labor exceeds the FBT unit fee, or when speed/trust lifts conversion enough to offset a slightly higher unit cost.
- Self-ship often wins on lightweight, dense-margin SKUs where you already have cheap postage and low return complexity.
- Always compare nets, not fees alone — a $0.50 higher fulfill cost can be fine if it unlocks better conversion or fewer lost packages.
